CANCER DE LA PROSTATE
UNDERSTANDING TO ACT BETTER!
The first edition of SEM'ACT MÉDECINE was designed around the theme of PROSTATE CANCER by addressing the issue of therapeutic management, innovations, technological advances, aggravating factors and the place of family environment.
PROSTATE CANCER has a twice higher incidence in populations of sub-Saharan African descent (approximately 500 new cases per year in Guadeloupe, all stages combined) compared to Caucasian populations. the causes are multi-factorial such as age, family history and environmental exposure. this is a major public health problem, which requires providing informed information to the population and better coordination between health actors in order to ensure optimal management of this cancer.

From December 12 to 15, 2019 took place the 1st EDITION of SEM'ACT CANCER DE LA PROSTATE, in Guadeloupe.
Under the scientific guidance of Director Laurent BRUREAU, Professor Pascal BLANCHET, Director Luc MULTIGNER and Professor Romain MATHIEU.
This edition was organized by COM & CONSULT with the participation of the members of the French Association of Urology (AFU) and of Doctor François ROZET, Head of the Prostate sub-committee of the CCAFU
